Materials collected by Charles V. Lynch, Vice President of Traffic for the Coastwise Line in San Francisco. The papers date, primarily, from 1920-1953, and there are a wide range of materials in the collection. Theses include basic mileage ration cards; business cards for Lynch and A.N. MacClellan, Freight Claim Agent for the Alaska Steamship Co. in Seattle; certificates, including one issued to Frank Gonzalez for crossing the International Dateline by the Kingdom of the Golden Dragon; complimentary Marine Frank message cards issued to Lynch by Mackay Radio and Telegraph Co., Inc.; correspondence; financial papers and employment information; an invitation to the "Farewell Cruise of the SS Eureka" in 1941; a map of San Francisco, circa 1889; a menu from the Pacific Steamship Co.; passes for the Pacific Steamship Co., 1930 and the Alaska Railroad, 1953; and a Photostat diagram for a new vessel for Coastwise Alaska trade.
